The connection between my access point,router or cable modem and internet is broken. In showing I have a connection from wifi to router, but still nit getting a connection. I've plugged in the ethernet, no change. Do I need to change a routing address?

No. if you are connected to you wifi but can't connect to the internet, it is a problem with you modem or your service. What happens if you connect directly to your modem? If you connect, there is a problem with your router.
