I am building a PC out of second hand parts for my friends UNI work, and only have an IDE Hard drive left to use, Before I wiped it it was running 32bit XP home premium and had a locked profile on it. I formatted it and Installed 64bit 7 Ultimate on it, and now it will not boot. It hangs at "Verifying DMI pool data". I have tested the Hard drive in one of my other computers and it does the same thing. I have also reinstalled 64bit 7 Ultimate and it still does the same thing, The BIOS does recognize the hard drive and it is set to "master". What can I do to fix this, I have had a look around for the answer but nothing helps. SATA hard drives and IDE Disk drives do work in the computers.
