Hi, I've got an Asus M4N68T-M, which officially supports up to 8gb DDR3 ram (but then again, their qualified vendor list is from 2009, so 8gb sticks were probably rare at the time).

I've just got a good offer on 2x8gb Kingston Valueram sticks (http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR16N11_8.pdf), and am wondering whether the system will recognize them.

- I'm running Win 7 64-bit.
- Voltage is within range.
- So I am guessing that it comes down to whether the DIMMs will accept the 1gx64-bit sticks?

Wait. I'm confused. If this is your motherboard: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M4N68T/specifications/
... it doesn't use DDR RAM. It uses DDR3 RAM. And the specs say it is good with 4 x DIMM, Max. 16 GB, DDR3 1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 ECC,Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory. If the above is true, the sticks you linked to should be fine.

Not your fault. I missed the (M) for mATX.
I'm afraid your board is strictly an 8GB board. I doubt the other 8GB stick will be recognized.
