Hi I'm looking to put together my first computer and need some advise.
Originally I'd put this build together which had both performance and aesthetics rolled into one:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor (£159.99 @ AmazonUK)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S 55.0 CFM CPU Cooler (£49.34 @ Scan.co.uk)
Motherboard: Asus GRYPHON Z97 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard with Armour Kit (£134.99 @ Overclockers UK )
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury 2x4gb 1866 Black (£62@ Amazon UK)
Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB 2.5" Solid State Disk (£55.89 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£52.79 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: EVGA GTX 780 ACX Superclocked (£387 @ Scan UK)
Case: Corsair 350D Window MicroATX Mid Tower Case (£79.99 @ Amazon UK)
Case Fan A: Noctua NF-A14 FLX 68.0 CFM 140mm Fan (£17.80 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case Fan B: Noctua NF-A14 FLX 68.0 CFM 140mm Fan (£17.80 @ Scan.co.uk)
Case Fan C: Noctua NF-S12A FLX 120mm Fan (£17.46 @ CCL Computers
Power Supply: EVGA 750 G2 750W 80+ GoldCertified ATX Power Supply (£79.75 @ Amazon UK)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) (£69.65 @ CCL Computers)
Total: £1185
Now I was happy with this but then I saw a TRI-X 290 and 3 free games on offer for £280 and was wondering if anyone had suggestions for a build as good in performance and aesthetics as the one above only with the 290 instead (clearly the tri-x doesn't match the above color scheme); for less money?
Any suggestions even saying go with the former are appreciated.
Thanks a lot.
