Hello everyone,

I want to upgrade my CPU but I dont know what is the best CPU at the moment that my system can handle.
I am looking for a intel i serie and I use my pc mainly for gaming.
Also can you please tell me what kind of cooler I should buy with it.

My specs:

-Corsair carbide 500r
-Asus B85M-G mobo
-i5 4430 haswell
-geforce gtx 770
- 8gig ram
-corsair CX600 PSU

That cpu is already good for gaming, why do you want to upgrade?
If i were you id stay with that cpu, get a Cooler master hyper 212 evo cpu cooler. And by the way, 600 w is enough but CX corsair series arent very reliable, a better brand with 550w would be enough.

Well I want to upgrade because for example I cant run World of Tanks at max settings, especially when I use mods and I think its due to my CPU because my GPU is fine for the game.
Also I am upgrading atm to be kind of future proof, like I upgraded my GPU and case so the last thing would be the CPU so I am done for at least a year or 2.

What do you mean with unreliable PSU? Do you think my PSU cant handle much more then this? I thought corsair was reliable in general. What brand would you sugest? Thanks.

Ok, tho i think adding mods affect gpu more than cpu. so if you want to get a big upgrade get a Z97 mobo with I7 4790K, or I5 4690K. As you are going to OC a little get a CM hyper 212 evo, if you want extreme OC get noctua nh-d14 or corsair h80i (a little loud cooler but you can get better fans after). Corsair is not bad at all! very good band, but CX series arent very good and reliable, and well built. I would suggest you XFX 550W or XFX 650W. XFX are made by seasonic so they are very well build and reliable :)

Corsair is a reliable brand, but their CX PSUs are not,They use cheap capacitors that can't output the power they state they can for a long time.
Any Tier One,Tier Two Class A and Class B will do the job:

Also,make sure it's at least 650W.
About the CPU,you can get an H97 motherboard,like an AsRock H97 Killer or Gigabyte GA-H97 Gaming 3,and an i5 4690 OR a Z97 motherboard,like a Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 3,ASUS Z97-A or MSI Z97 Gaming 3 and an i5 4690K CPU.
Hope this helps. :)
