Metro:Last Light lagging like hell

I just bought Metro: Last Light and its running like a slideshow on any settings. Any idea why?

My specs :

i5 4690k
Asus Z97C
Corsair 650W
Sapphire R9 270x

I guess the game should run in medium atleast with these specs. Any help will be appreciated.

I guess you have 8gb ram so it wont be cause of ram. But yes you should be able to run that game. Maybe you have a faulty PSU that doesnt deliver enough power to your components?
Can you tell me the % of usage of cpu and gpu while gaming metro last night please?

It should run at 60fps on at least medium it could be a driver issue or the game dident install correctly the first things i would try is re install your amd radeon graphics drivers and if that doesn't work re install the game. And the power supply would never cause that issue.

OK, read somewhere that have to install the PhysX software despite using AMD GPU and that seemed to have solved the problem. Playing in high without any lag or stutter. Thanks for you replies guys.

Ps : I used to get around 15 -20 fps before, now i get around 60 without sweat.

I'm running high and getting around 50-60 fps with medium motion blur and no vsync, so gameplay is smooth. And I'm not running the Redux version, mine is the initial release version with few patches.

PS : The Redux version has lower System Requirements and is better optimized for PC so it should run better in theory, but im not sure since i havent played it.
