So I have a bit of an issue. A friend of mine asked me to build a PC for his son. It's use will mainly be for HD video, streaming, and light gaming. After doing some research, I found that AMD released their new A-series APU (Kaveri). I purchased the A6-7400K APU which is a dual-core turbo with radeon r5 discrete graphics.

After doing the build, I am now unable to find the appropriate driver for the display adapter. AMD offers an "autodetect" tool which scans the system and installs the required driver, however, my system cannot be found (product). I've googled all I can about AMD and drivers for this APU, and cannot find a thing. Help!

Which is now I see is included in that link to catalyst software. I attempted the installation, but the display adapter did not receive any driver updates. :(

I appreciate your assistance, however, following the steps listed above did not solve my issue. Even with installing the amd catalyst software (version 14.7 I think) there was no driver installed. My graphics adapter is still listed as "Standard VGA graphics adapter". So, I think I should contact AMD.

Well guys, apparently all I had to do was install the latest BETA driver from AMD. Because the Kaveri line is so new, there is no non-beta version of the graphics adapter driver. Thanks for any input, though.

Well, I still use 14.4 (stable). But I can't check for sure since my computer is in service (repair shop).
