New everything except old WD green hard drive from 2006 will this work? I mean is the hard drive to slow or something? It uses modern sata connections and it doesnt make any noise or nothing.

Solution
It wil be fine. Just make sure to reinstall Windows since all the drivers and registry files for your old hardware will still be on the drive and conflict with your new hardware.
Hey Von Swordfish. I agree with @increator about that. You won't have any compatibility issues at all. The WD Green drive is in fact cool and quiet and is usually recommended to be used for second storage, but depending on what you are going to use your new build it should be ok as a primary drive (even though I would recommend the WD Blue drive for a general usage PC). If on the other hand you need a performance enhanced drive for gaming, video editing, demanding programs etc. - I recommend that you take a look at the WD Black drive.
Here's a link where you can check the drives' features and compare them: http://www.wdc.com/en/products/internal/desktop/

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
