I have a Compaq v6000 with the HP 434726-001 motherboard. It currently runs an Intel Celeron M430 processor 1.73GHz single core. I want to upgrade to a faster processor. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo T7600 4MB/667MHz Processor 2.33GHz that will fit the M socket, but will not boot. My guess is that this processor is either dead or will not run on this motherboard. Any ideas? What is the fastest processor this board can operate? Thank you!
