Hello
Got another question for all you start people I installed a I5 4690 with the Silverstone NT06 pro cooler running prime 95 for 20 minuets sees the temp peek at 98C.
I installed it with the fan blowing air at the CPU would it be better to have it blowing air at the heat sink (apparently it can be installed either way).
Completely stock no OC temps from HW Monitor.

The rest of the build in case it makes it easier.

Parts List

I know the case isn't the greatest for cooling but I saw some figures somewhere before I bought it and it did better than a lot of people thought it would. (maybe they have better cable management)

You need to watch your temps a little more closely when stress testing. 98*C. is far too high. You need to be ready to abort the test if the core temp goes above 90*C.

I'm a little confused by your question about the HSF fan orientation. I would recommend putting the fan on top of the cooler blowing air downward. This will help cool the MOBO's chipset and MOSFETs.

Thanks for your responses I changed the fan direction and it peaked at 89 which I still think is to hot.
Unfortunately size restraints stop me from putting the fan above the heat sink and blowing down.
What temp range is considered alright when stress testing.
