Says access denied.
So I goggled for a solution, and I'm supposed to "take ownership of the drive.
But when I got into the security section in properties there is no owner tab to speak of to do this like I was told and saw in various instructions. It said the owner could not be show.

How to I access the drive again.

I don't think windows 8 has an owner tab so the instructions I was reading were misleading.
Anyways, yes, I made it there now what?

Hi DukeOvilla,

Please follow the below steps :

1.Go to My Computer >> select the Drive which have owner permission issue >> Right Click on it >> Properties >> Security >> in Groups and User names , see is your user is there.
If your user is there see the permission, if your user don't have access then change it to allow full control >> apply >> ok >> then try to access.

AND if your user is not showing in Groups and Usernames list then Click on Add >> Advance >> Find now >> Select your user (to whome you want to give access) >> OK >> and give allow all permission >> Apply >> OK

Then check, after doing all above steps correctly you will able to access the drive.

If still you have any problem then please post here.

says I must have read permissions to view that.
I can access something like what you said in advanced, but there it says I have full control already to all folders subfolders and files.
