Hi there

I recently bought a new pc which has windows 8.1 64bit installed and I notice that some games require origin.exe to run. When I try to install this is get the 0xc000007b error

If I ignore that and try to install the origin game (crysis 3) I get exactly the same error when clicking 'install'

I have looked online and some people state to download the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages which I have done but to no avail.

This is a very annoying problem for me as I saved a lot of money to buy this PC in order to play these types of games. I understand it probably is a windows 8.1 64 issue regarding dlls but have absolutely no idea how to fix this and have been looking online for hours

I was even hoping to 'downgrade' back to windows 7 but here that is a nightmare to do also

If someone could help please I really would be grateful

Thanks

Adam

UPDATE - Now splinter cell blacklist (not an origin game) is getting the same issue after me waiting nearly 2 hours installing and being forced to download the latest update. This is a nightmare here. It seems every new game I try to install has this error!
