Plugged in my xbox 360 wired controller to my PC. It turns on and lights up but stays that way. All four rings on it light up forever and it never cycles back to just the top left ring lighting up by itself. The controller doesn't respond to any button presses ingame even though it worked perfectly fine the last time I used it which was a couple of weeks ago.

Drivers are installed, tested this on a different PC too and same result. Windows 7.

Help?

Are any of the buttons stuck, including the "X" symbol. Sticks loose. Wires kinked.

How sweaty do your hands get?
Also. Now this might be obvious. But, if you've ever spilt coke on it. Even a tiny bit. Anything conducive on the circuitry will probably have fried it/ eventually eroded the circuits. Or it could be something like a build-up of dread skin cells inside.

Just throwing ideas.
