I'm having issues booting the motherboard using the external build. I have the CPU, CPU fan, graphics card, RAM, and the power supply along with the cables properly installed. However, when I short the motherboard power pins, nothing is booting up? Can someone tell me some ways to try and fix this? The case I ordered did not arrive yet so I'm kinda stuck with this motherboard on the table.

Is the powersupply set to 110v (small red switch that may or may not be there)?
Is the pwersupply switch set to on (larger on/off toggle switch found on many but not all PSU's)
Are you jumpering the PWR_SW pins on the front panel header ? (this should be a brief contact/short, not one you leave on)

For some reason the specific screwdriver I used did not jump the front panel pins, however I used another one and it worked. Thanks for the help anyways!

thank you, thank you, thank you :)  My first build and I was scared I'd messed something up and assuming the worst. Then, after a good nights sleep, I found this post, a different screwdriver! It worked, I'm happy. Thank you PCgamer2000 if that is your real name.
