Hello All! This is my first time asking for something like this as I've usually been able to find out the problems myself using google. But for the past day and a half I've been stumped, I recently purchased a PNY GeForce GTX 560. It came with all the parts and the DVI to VGA adapter that I required. But I could plug in my DVI cable fine, but when I plugged in the DVI to vga adapter in and tried to plug in my VGA cable in, I'd get no Signal at all but the fan is spinning and I can hear the sound.

So I plugged my VGA cable into the desktop port itself and then I got my screen back. I've fully restored my Computer twice and I've tried installing my card from the disc and where it says " Installed graphics adapter" It says it isn't found and when I try to click on the install drivers option, it says the installed graphics adapter isn't compatible with the current set of drivers so I went onto the Geforce website itself and attempted to download drivers from the 500 series and it downloaded but when I tried to start it and I wouldn't get passed the system check and it'd say " The graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware " I'm just completely stumped here and I could really use some help. I apologize if this is in the wrong section or whatever but I've been stressed out and I hope that I don't need to get a new Graphics card!

When you plug the adapter into the monitor and into e computer does your monitor come on or remain in standby? Is your card one that has 2 dvi ports? If so try the other, I know on my radeon 7950 only one supports vga through an adapter whist the other is dvi only.

Mine does have 2 DVI ports yes, I've tried both on my graphics card and they've produced the same problem. Also I'm not able to plug my adapter into the monitor or computer because the ports are different than the adapter.

Do you have another adapter?
Another monitor or cable?
