My son and I are building a gaming PC. We bought everything and began to put it together. We have an MSI A78m-E35 motherboard with an AMD CPU. When we got part way thru the build, we noticed that our Sapphire Radeon R7 260x 2 GB graphics card covers is so wide that it covers the slot where the wireless adapter plugs into. Everything says that the MSI and the Radeon are compatible, but nothing is said about how to get around the wireless adapter slot problem. Hopefully one of you has seen this and have an easy solution. Thanks!

It is unfortunate that it is so, but there is nothing you can do, such small mobo's are extremely compact and graphics cards usually leave little to no room for anything below it. :(

I'm afraid it won't fit under any circumstance, and don't try to jam it in- with all due respect, I know what you previous generation types are like, you jam and poke and prod and wedge until you can get it in. Such attitude will only break stuff when fine electronics are concerned.

All you can do is buy a device such as this one at your local vendor:

And be sure you cable manage well! It will help with ventilation and ease later cleaning. Enjoy your new pc!:bounce:

Thanks for the input. I wouldn't call myself a "previous generation". My point was that the slot was completely covered and not accessible at all. I'm actually insulted that you would think I'd try to force it in....although I have been known to throw things against the wall or use large steel objects to fix things! It's worked in the past, just seemed to cost a lot more.

The question was more along the lines of what is the best solution. Should I get a different motherboard or use a different graphics card or other.

So it looks like we are better off getting the USB wireless adapter. This seems like the best solution.

Thanks.
