hey bit of a noob here looked around and found similar problems but not the one im having

i've just built my self a shiny new system and want to raid 0 my 2 1TB (identical) hdd's i get into the shiny new futuristic "GIGABYTE - UEFI DualBIOS" on the peripherals screen i changed the "OnChip SATA Type" from "AHCI" (what ever that means) to "RAID" i then save and exit when the system re-boots it says press ctrl+f to enter raid something or other (its too bloody fast to read) i then get 5 options press 1 to view drive assignments which is nice can see that all my storage is there and empty as well as the dvd drive but i cant do anything other than look at it press 2 or 3 for and "LD menu things" which isn't set up so doesn't do anything and i don't know what that is either, press 4 for controller config again this is just some thing to look at that i don't know or understand there's no changeable options in here or option 5 press esc to re-boot which i did then i hit del to go back into bios where i've been playing with as much as pos to try and find an option that says something like select hdd's for raid or anything at all that mentions raid other than what i mentioned earlier pleeeeeeeeeeeeease help

I also am concerned with this same question: "How to set up HARDWARE RAID 0 in Gigabyte's UEFI BIOS? (Without having to resort to 'BIOS Legacy Mode', 'Plug-in Controller Cards', (Availability of Expansion Slots are becoming more and more limited these days), or an OS's 'Software RAID', (There might be some people which would prefer to set up Bootable HARDWARE RAID for use with Linux Distro's, rather than being Forced into an Industry Imposed OS flavour of Microsoft Monopolistic Business Practices) ..As I have been eying a new Gigabyte Mainboard as a potential purchase. If they have precluded the ability to implement HARDWARE RAID in their version of UEFI BIOS, Quite Frankly That Is a Deal Breaker!! The older article referenced, is the standard PRE-UEFI BIOS methodology, which does Not address how to implement RAID with the UEFI BIOS as Gigabyte has implemented it. But only realistically gives the options under this circumstance for either a 'plug-in controller card' or 'Software RAID' but not not Hardware RAID to be used. I have been scouring the web (and Youtube) for an answer to this specific question. but so far I have found no viable answer.
