With X99 about to drop the parade of durability , power management phase counts and alloy this, mosfet that has issued forth by motherboard OEMs.

What do the feature claims really mean?
Who really has the best durable old overclock motherboard of the first flight X99 offerings?

Solution
Until they come out and have reviews we can only go with successful techniques in other motherboards.

Each of the manufacturers have their own VRM designs, phase count tells you the complexity and expense of the design.

The alloy ones are usually talking about using thicker copper in the PCB, this makes them a little stiffer and helps cool components in general.

You can try looking at reviews from the same line for older boards. ROG, Gaming, Sniper, Extreme etc.
