The CX serries PSUs have proven to have capacitors that go bad under a heavy use like gaming, that is why your PSU should be changed out for something else.

FYI the m5a970 borad has usb 3.0, but no usb 3.0 front headers.

Blown capacitors equals a PSU that can no longer power your system, so you would then have to buy another one once they go bad. Their average rate is failing 3-6 months outside of warranty.
