Hello, I'm building my first PC ever and I'd like some help as to what's causing my PC to not boot with the graphics card plugged in? I've already tested two motherboards, same problem. The graphics card has been plugged into a friend's computer and it works. My friend's graphics card has been plugged into mine and it doesn't work.

Here are my specs:

Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.5 GHZ 8 MB
EVGA Z87 FTW LGA1150 ATX 4 DIMM Dual-Channel DDR3 2666MHz Motherboard
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti, 3GB, 3072MB,GDDR5 384bit
Corsair Professional Series 860-Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Platinum
Samsung 128GB SATA 6Gbps Solid State Drive
Corsair Dominator Platinum 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 MHz RAM

Also, I have just noticed, when the graphics card is not plugged in, the computer will boot but for about a minute or so. After that it will do the same thing it does when it has the graphics card plugged in, shut for a bit, then reboot.

Please help, I don't know what to do anymore. Also, if you guys need any more information I can provide, please let me know.

Edit I have been able to boot my computer without the graphics card installed. I am currently installing the OS (windows). I'll see if it's a drivers issue. I'll update drivers and then try to install the graphics card again.

Update: I have installed the motherboard drivers, installed chrome, etc, all works fine. As soon as I insert that graphics card, my computer just won't boot up. It tries to start but then stops, and all the lights are on for RAM, mobo, except the graphics card. Is there any cable I'm not using correctly? My PSU is modular by the way, and it only has like 2 types of different PCIE cables.

Solution
It's likely a problem with the system setup in general, not the GPU. I would go through the troubleshooting checklist in the sticky section at the top of the forum. If you perform all the steps in the checklist it will help you figure out what's causing the problem. There's also a link to the checklist in my signature.

Yes I get beeps, like 4-5 (without the graphics card). The video is uploading still, I'll make sure to let you know when it's up so you can take a look.

It doesn't say anything, but it does display a number and on the manual it said "No memory found." I have now pressed the memory, ensuring its in. I don't get the beep anymore. And it has now the code "62". 62 is for Installation of the South Bridge Runtime Services. I will now try to put in the graphics card and see if I can get it to run.

I also forgot to mention, now the computer won't shut down after booting it without the graphics card.

Edit It won't turn on now that I put the graphics card in. The mother board still lights up, memory ram lights up as well. Even the graphics card lights up for a sec but then shorts out.
