problem i cannot connect a Fan with 2 wire(red and Black) to power supply.

The new computer case I bought has an internal 12 cm x 12 cm x 2 cm fan. There are 2 wires- red and black coming from the fan and they are in a heterosexual Molex connector( male prongs on one end, female receptors on other end). I am sorry I don't know what else to call this connector.
my problem is that the darn thing won't hook up to the Molex connectors of my power supply(kentek 400 Watt,20/24 ATX,with 12 Volt Atx, Ide and Sata connectors), unless the connections to the power supply are reversed: red wire from fan to black wire of red ,yellow and black Molex of power supply molex, and black wire to the redwire of the red,Yellow and Black Molex of Power supply.
I appreciate any advice /recommendations from the community.

If it is wired backwards, just take the pins out of the connector and move them.

The little tangs are all that hold it in. Take a small screwdriver or other rigid object and push the tangs down while pulling on the wire, you should be able to wiggle them out. You can them arrange them properly and pop them back in.

On the other hand. The red wires from power supply are 5V normally and the 12V is yellow. If the red wire from the fan lines up with the yellow wire, that is correct.

Eximo: you are my hero!!! yes the red wire on the fan does line up with the yellow wire on the power Supply Molex connector. I feel so stupid. please forgive my ignorance.
