Hi,

I bought a second hand HP elitbook 8560w a few months ago (second hand is important because the BIOS is blocked to HDD boot and I can't get any answer from the seller to get the password) and wanted Linux installed on it so I could enjoy best of both worlds. Unfortunately, when doing it, it removed the Windows partition. I could have been satisfied with Linux only but since I'm a stubborn idiot I wanted to put it back and desactivated the swap partition to part the disc again. The problem is, I forgot to set it back to work and can't boot on Linux nor Windows. Of course, I could reactivated it with an external adapter but instead of thinking of doing this most simple manipulation, I formatted the disc. So I'm now left with a blank disc that looks like this :

101.00 MiB Unallocated
449.76 GiB Ext4
15.90 Gib Linux Swap
1.02 MiB Unallocated

So if anyone has an idea how I can get this think to work, it would be of great help.
I am now working on a IBM Lenovo Thinkpad T500 I bought recently.
