Which thermal Paste do you think is the best to use on my R9 270x DUal-X 2G OC Ediition Sapphire?
The thing is that i already took apart the whole thing and i put some CM IceFusion on it
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Guess what? My load temps went form 78 to freaking 9x° C
Lol i feel stupid but now theres no turn back so i belive i gotta get a good Thermal Paste preferibly no conductive .
I also notice that i got better tempes (by like 6 Degrees) spreading the paste rather than using the pea method.

Anyways i really hope u can give me an answer soon , ik theres other posts asking the same but most of em are outdated and i wanna get the best one for today standards.

PS:The cooper plate doesnt feel polished at all, idk if that have something to do but it have some lines on it like "waves" and as far as i know the more shiny and polish the better for heat transfer no?

Arctic Cooling MX-4, GELID GC Extreme or IC Diamond are 3 good thermal pastes to choose from.

Being shiny or polished has no effect on thermal transfer, the surface just needs to be flat and free from any oxidation.

Wow, I have the exact same GPU, and mine reach 66C in BF4 ultra. I got Arctic MX-4 on it. But let me give you a little advice.
As you noticed, the heatsink isnt perfectly flat. There's waves and nano-sized micro lines and holes.. So TINT your heatsink.

Basically, tinting the heatsink is applying paste on it, wipe it so it looks nice and even (Like, with ur finger in a freezer-bag, zip etc). Then take a microfiber cloth and wipe it off. (The cloth shouldnt be wet). The paste should ALMOST be invisible, like "I think its paste on it, but im not sure) that kinda invisible :p

Now your heatsink is tinted and all lines and micro holes are covered, and therefore, the heatsink is even. Now apply some paste on the GPU, I prefer a little X shape and you're all set.

Omg thanks of course i will give it a try but it sucks i cant get the Artic MX-4 for now.
But i do belive the cooper surface would make a big difference if i do that.
Btw your reach 66C on BF4 right? but do u have the fan speed set to manual or auto?

I have it set on auto ofc. The fan maybe goes 40% when 66C i dno.. I cant hear it anyways ^^
And yea. Tinting the copper surface does make alot :)

Thanks alot :D
I did just as u said with the same thermal paste and now temp reach 76° at load , sometimes 85 depending on how is the weather my room can get to around 35 degrees X_x.
Anyways now i can keep my GPU with 45% speed fan ( god bless the silence ) and im not reaching freaking 101°C as before.
Now im still planning to buy the Artic MX-4 and change it. I bet i can get like 6 dreegre less or maybe even more

Congratz man! :)  Im happy that I was able to help you.
My ambient case temperature is 24C. Try n lower ur case temp aswell. It would help alot too.
