Which is better performance wise ?

Solution
You seem to be comparing mobile and desktop equipment which really isn't fair. The 820M is a low end discrete mobile GPU, and really isn't to the tier where its meant for gaming. The GTX 260 is going to be far stronger than the 820M.

The C2Q 6600 was slow even in its time, it just doens't have the clock speed that the Q9xxx series had so it was a great overclocking chip, but not good at stock, but its now several generations old. The 4210U will likely perform slightly better in GPU intensive tasks thanks to its significantly improved architecture.

It seems like you are left to choose between a mid range GPU with an older, slower CPU, or a low end mobile GPU with a better CPU. There must be a better option out there......

Thank you out there.
I was wondering why I was'nt able to play that particular game , yes I got my answer my gpu is not up to the mark. Can I anyhow upgrade my gpu with low cost ? I cant afford to buy a new desktop or a laptop now

It really depends on the laptop. Some of them use tiny GPU cards that plug into a slot, some solder the GPU to the motherboard, every laptop series is different unfortunately, but in general you can't upgrade laptop GPUs except on really high end units.

Thank you for your concern :D
I was trying to figure out till how much extent my gpu and cpu can perform /
Would you mind answering me that how would one com to know that a listed processor and/.or gpu is outdated ? I mean how does the numbering or naming starts . and do I come to know that a given gpu or cpu is from a laptop or a desktop

the GTX 260 is from the 200 series from nvidia, the 820m is from the 800m series which is newer, and have the "m" which stands for mobile, that only works for nvidia and not all brands. The Q6600 is the core 2 quad which is old too, newer models come as i3, i5 and i7 for normal desktops. Intel CPUs now have the 2xxx (Sandy bridge) , 3xxx (Ivy Bridge), 4xxx (Haswell) and all three generation has different processors i3, i5, i7. The higher the number the better the processor. you have the 4210u which is the mobile or laptop version which is a low voltage lower profile, and there's the 4200m which is also a laptop version but stronger one. There is also desktop ones without the "u" or "m" 4400 up to 4670 which are all i5 cpus, and then the i7 4770, 4790 which is the strongest of the Haswell processors. They also come as a K version like the 4770k, k means the processor can be overclocked to higher speeds.

There is also AMD Processors and Graphic cards, i'd explain them for you if you want :)

Thank you out there :D
No I am fine
I've heard that amd processors overheat too
and now I have to use this laptop for one more year then I can upgrade to a newer one
If I want to buy a good laptop which can run games considrably well without lag or sacrifice to resolution
but within a budget of 500$
