I'm not sure if I am in the right forum. I have a wireless network (Netgear Wireless Router) with an ASUS laptop (Windows 7) and a Dell Dimension (Windows XP) on it. I'm getting SSL Errors that say "Something is currently interfering with your secure connection to <enter website>. The websites in question are www.twitter.com, www.wordpress.com, and the login to www.toshiba.com. These websites were working fine at one point. I've run virus scans (Norton) and malware scans (Malwarebytes - actually found some malware), and a scan of the rootkits. I still cannot connect to these sites. I've also checked the computer clock as well for correct date/time. What else can I do?

I assume it's happening on both computers? Have you tried connecting one computer directly to your modem? If the issue affects both devices it's probably something in your router.

1. Try a computer direct to the modem, if that resolves your issue: power cycle your router and if need be, reset it to factory defaults.

AZ, the Windows XP computer is the only computer with the errors; the laptop is fine. Ron, knowing this, going through OpenDNS may not be a solution (could be, but doesn't seem like it).

I was unable to do that, Ron. I got the error 'netsh.exe-unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because framdyn.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.'

Run a chkdsk /F on your main drive (should be C:) so chkdsk /F C: - since it's only on the XP machine, what browsers have you tried? Have you reset your internet settings, checked the proxy settings in Internet Options?

The SSL errors have stopped, but I'm not sure why. I'm not sure if the issue was fixed via Advanced System Care, or what - but they aren't there anymore...
