I have a new wireless printer (Cannon MG5522) that I can't seem to find in my network. I have a Windows 7 Pro 64bit laptop. The printer connects to my WiFi network fine yet I can't find it when I try to set it up. The printer doesn't show in the network. I've uninstalled the drivers /software that came with it and from the website and reinstalled it several times and nothing. I can use it via USB but not wireless. I've been trying for days I ran out of ideas to get the wireless working. Help anyone?!

I have a similar Canon printer that wouldn't show up as a network printer until I installed the software from the included disk, so it's strange that your printer won't appear after driver installation.

If you haven't already verified network connectivity (e.g. printer is receiving proper IP address), you may want to check the router's GUI and verify the printer shows up in the DHCP client list with a valid address. I'd also recommend pinging the printer's IP address from your laptop. Even with no printer software installed, you should be able to ping the printer.

You didn't mention, but did you restart the laptop after the software was installed?

Are you able to install the drivers on another computer and check connectivity?

I have a notebook so no software to install. My notebook doesn't see the printer. I have done everything I can think of on the printer. This seems to happen periodically, it goes offline.
