I just need a bit of help fixing my rig. I purchased a new cpu the other day, and when I pulled the old one I realized the cpu I just bought was to large to fit, I neglected to check if my motherboard was compatible. So i place the old cpu back and closed the case, but now i cant get my rig to boot. i keep getting a pxe-e61 media test failure, and a Nvidia strip error as if it's not connected. I pulled the cpu again and made sure it was in correctly and all cables were connected. I tried to boot from a backup cd and it says there's no hard drive and an unknown operating system, I'm at a loss.

The new cpu is an Intel core i7-920, the other an Intel core duo, but as i said the new one never made it in cause it was to large for my motherboard.

Yes, I'm positive the pins aren't damaged in any way.
