Hi, I recently built a gaming pc and am noticing a humming noise. The noise starts when i use large programs or play games and goes away a few mins after closing said programs. I thought is may be my graphics card fan so i turned it up to full speed and that wasn't it, I thought it may be my heat sink fan but my cpu temps aren't any higher than usual while using large programs or games. My only thought is that maybe as the load on my components increases, the power consumption is increasing too and due to terrible cable management in my case i could be getting a very audible hum from the wires.Could that be the problem?

Doubtful, unless you've got a 10KW generator hooked up :)

Check your fan filters to see if they're vibrating, particularly the bottom filter if you have one. If you have a side intake, see if you're getting a harmonic buzz. Then pull the side panel when the hum is occurring and see if one of your drives or your drive rack is causing it.
