Installation Trouble - Couldn't create a new partition...

I was helping a friend build his new system today and we got everything working on the first try. Cool. Successfully set up two hard drives in a RAID 0 volume named "Porn Storage". Cool. Put in Windows 8.1 disk and got it to boot up and enter setup. Cool.

When we got to the screen to select which drive you want to install Windows on, selecting the drive and clicking next resulted in an error message saying "We couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information, see the Setup log files." Despite creating a partition, this error persists. I tried deleting the RAID and going back to setup and creating a partition on each drive and both of them gave me the same error message. I even did the command prompt sequence to format the partition. No success.

Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
