my panasonic plasma only turns off and on. I can't adjust sound, channel or even access the menu.

I have a panasonic th-50px60u. Recently, I cannot change the channel, adjust volume, change the input or access the menu. Neither the remote nor the in-tv buttons work to do anything other than off and on. Any thoughts?

Is there any kind of visible error code via blinking lights?

I just noticed that it does blink exactly 20 times. Then stops. Then 20 again, when I turn it off. It stays on red while on.

I'm not sure what 20 blinks means since the documentation available online only lists up to 13 or so, but it almost assuredly is not good. I don't think there is any quick fix for this. If you have any kind of warranty on it, now's a good time to make use of it. Otherwise, you may have to bring it to a professional for repair.
