How do I speed up my A8 5600k so I can get better frames in BF4?

My system is as follows:
AMD A8 5600k clocked at 4.4GHz (from 3.6 stock) - iGPU disabled/not in use
EVGA GeForce GTX 660TI SC 2GB GDDR5
6GB DDR3 RAM (OC'd to 1866MHz)
MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Motherboard
Corsair CX500M PSU (80+ Bronze)
Windows 7 Ultimate (when I first played BF4, I got similar to results as now, and that was with a near fresh install)
Corsair H55 AIO cooler

I get lots of stuttering in BF4. I assume it's because of my CPU, but I'm not sure about temperatures. I also heard about disabling C6 (?) but I have no clue what C6 is.

Thanks in advance ;)

I've been getting low FPS and stuttering with my good pc, check out the battlelog forums, many people with even better PCs than mine since their July 8th patch have been getting crippling performance.

I used to get nearly 60fps, now I'm nearly at 30fps. I'm not spending anymore money on that broken game. I already overclocked my i5 and doubled my ram and no improvement.

Even dropping to high or medium settings doesn't help, low is better, but for an i5 and hd7950 pc to have to go to low settings....wtf?

Those quad core AMD cpus when clocked high can certainly keep up in games when paired with a good GPU. Yours is on par with the Athlon x4 750k which tom's has recommended many times as a good CPU for 1080p gaming on a budget when paired with a good GPU. My bro's pc is a testament to that

Your GPU is on par with mine so you should be able to handle it on Ultra fine...turn MSAA off for a little better FPS. But solid in Ultra multiplayer either way. Don't listen to all the people knocking AMD, it's not as good as Intel but it can certainly still game, they're good for the money.

edit: If my much better cpu isn't helping my fps, a better one wouldn't help yours either. Many including me, have had our FPS crippled in half, if not more, since their stupid July 8th patch.

Dice messed up the patch. It's messed up bad, dropping to high or medium didn't give me any better FPS and at times lowered it....dropping to low gives me 60fps but stuff looks bad and the view/render distance is lowered so I can't see enemies but they could see me....I haven't tried 720p yet, I used to game on it before I got my gpu. My intel hd4000 graphics built in could play stuff on 720p low settings at 30fps, but stuff looked blurry cuz it's not my monitor's native resolution.

I'll play later and see if Ultra on 720p is any better.

For an overclocked i5 (or base i5 for that matter) with a decent GPU for 1080p gaming to have to drop to all low settings(with 16gb ram...) and be at a disadvantage is shameful on their part.

The game also has a memory leak for some people. I used to run out of ram when I only had 8gb total. Windows would force-close the game saying it was out of memory. Hasn't done it since I got 16gb of ram, but Windows 7 still tells me randomly that if I want to switch to basic color mode instead of Aero but I always tell it no lol.
