If you were worried about the locked bios situation, don't be. I just recently upgraded my hp pc and put a GTX 600 in it with the Cooler Master V550 power supply. It works well, the only issues I ran into were: 1. It was an incredibly tight fit getting that card in my case and 2. when I plugged the card into my motherboard and powered it on, the motherboard gave me the "error" beeping noise. It, of course rejected the card. There's a simple fix for this that involves disabling secure boot.

Here's the link to my source in case you want to see the full article, or read the short version below.
http://

1. Take the card out and open up the BIOS (button mash the f10 key when the pc starts)
2. From there, navigate to the Computer Setup option
3. Navigate to the security menu and go down and select Secure Boot Configuration
4. If a warning menu appears, just press f10
5. In the Secure Boot Config menu, navigate down to the line that says legacy support and change that to Enable (using the right/left arrow keys)
6. Then go down to the Secure Boot option and change that to disable.
7. Press f10 to accept changes
8. Navigate to file on the top and go to Save Changes and Exit.

Happy Upgrading!
