Specs :

i7-4790k

Gigabyte ga x97 SLI motherboard

2400 corsair vengeance pro 8x2

Evga 780 ftw

Evga 750 b psu

128gb ssd

2tb hdd

Windows 8.1

When playing games 10 minutes in it freezes, freezes and screen blanks at other times. Blue screen sometimes. Freeze at start up.

Basically this blows lol.

Everything is new and the computer is functional until installing the 780 and drivers.

Tried a amd card same issues.

Uninstalled display drivers in safe mode and reinstalled.

Updated bios. Set ram to proper speed and timings. Wiped everything and reinstalled windows. Tried using different pci slot. Tried every cable. Updated chipset.

Hwmonitor shows voltages are low but that's when it's at idle so that may be normal.

Temperatures are reading cpu at 30c gpu at 35. Nothing over clocked. Plenty of fans and h60 on cpu.

Any ideas are helpful. If you fix it I'll send you money lol. Mjconcrete7@ Google mail if you feel confident :)

Since you seemed to have tried everything I would suggest installing a linux distro and testing, there has been alot of issues with some of the recent Windows updates (they pulled down some 7 ones for sure since they caused a blue screen restart cycle), get linux install steam and try a few games there and see if the issues persists.

Your Mobo is a Z97, right? It must be :D

Ok, install test applications for your components.
Prime95 and Aida64 for your CPU
Unigine heaven/valley, Furmark for your PSU
Memtest for your RAM (test one stick at a time)
Also, try removing your HDD, and only playing with your SSD connected.

Just in case your PSU is faulty, could you get another from a friend for testing purposes?
