hi all
can my corsair vs 550 (http://www.corsair.com/en/vs-seriestm-vs550-550-watt-power-supply)

my system specs
i5-4670
seagate 1Tb hdd
gigabyte GZ-G1 casing
corsair vs 550
8gb ram kingston 1600 mhz bus
motheroard GA-B85M-D3H

in theory yes because the tdp of r9 280x is 250 watt and while gaming it reaches around 210 watt so yes wattage wise no problem but i must tell u that corsair VS series psu are entry level psu made for home and office pc not for a gaming one so the build quality and the capacitors are poor it also not comes with a 80+ bronze or gold certificate so with VS series the reliability is the factor but wattage wise no problem.

Do not know why they would say 750W, the max the card can draw is 300W based on 2X150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connector is required, the rest of your system shouldnt pull more then 200W, there is no way your system should be pulling 450W not including the GPU

correct me if i am wrong 2x150 + (75 watts from motherboard) = 375 ??
