Hello,

I have a Sabertooth 990FX with an FX8150 in the motherboard it has BIOS 901 installed on it. I was given this computer by a coworker sans HD/SSD and graphics card. I have purchased an R9 270x graphics card and installed it and had a spare SSD lying about to use with it. I went to boot the computer after hooking up everything and received the message that overclocking has failed and to press F1 to enter setup. I did this and was met with a brief white dash blinking on the screen and then blank. I rebooted the machine and was met with just a constant white blinking - in the top left corner of the screen. I researched this message a bit and found various answers and have tried all that I could find. This included the reset jumpers, removing the cmos battery for 20 minutes and holding down the membutton. Each of these yielded the same result of I needed to enter setup to recover the bios and then brief blinks and then blank screen and on reset it said overclock failed. Holding down delete as the computer turned on yielded the same results. The only time I received a different message was after the 20 minutes when it said to insert a bootable media and reset. I put in my windows install thumbdrive and rebooted... right back to the overclock failed message. I'm stumped, I've also tried removing all but a single dimm of ram, rotating which dimm I use, nothing seems to be working. Any help would be much appreciated as ASUS' website offers me such gems in the FAQ as how to update my flash player... :heink:

SU11YBEAR, I did this already. Gave me the message that I needed to enter setup to restore the bios, gave me a blank screen when I attempted to enter the bios and upon reset gave me the over clocking message again. Any other suggestions?
