Network adapter not detected

So I formatted my pc and reinstalled windows 7 64 bit..now my nic is not detected..I tried installing the Realtek Lan controller form my mobo driver cd.. During installation I get the error The Realtek network controller was not found. If deep sleep mode is enabled please plug the cable.I cannot find the network adapter in the device manger also.Please help me

Try clearing your CMOS first. Then go to your mobo's support webpage and downloading and installing the drivers from there, rather than the ones on the CD. If you need to, download them to a thumbdrive on another computer. Install the chipset driver first, then the others. You may need to reflash your BIOS also.
