Hello all,

I bought an asus gtx 780ti last december and it is going really good, but lately i have noticed that the idle temp goes up to 65C . it was usualy around 45-50c, but the load temp never goes up more than 85c . I live in India and there is lot of dust flying around and my room is not ac'ed. I guess its the dust which is stuck inside the card which is reason for high temp, also that i have noticed through the window on the card that the inside has become more brownish, It is reference design, so please suggest me an effective way to remove dust from the card.

Thanks

Get some compressed air cans or use your air compressor to blow through the back of the card. Make sure that you hold the fan to prevent it from spinning up too much as it could damage it. Then switch between blowing through the fan and back until no more dust comes out.

clean dry compressed air is all you should need

the idle temp goes up to 65C --- this seem kinda extreme I feel that wit a clean well working cooler should be around 35c
