My current graphics specs,
- Asus GTX 570 with GDDR5 1280MB Vram

- Gainward GTX 570 with GDDR5 1280MB Vram

I'm not looking for super computer specs, but I do want to run games at 1080p at 60fps. From my understand, the GTX 570 is quite capable of running modern games at high/ultra. However it's 'now considered' low Vram is the main problem, as it will bottleneck a lot quicker.. especially with poorly optimized games like Battlefield 4.

I'm trying to get some ideas about what my next card should be. Perhaps something which is moderately powerful but has a higher than average Vram. Like 3GB or something. From my understanding, if my GTX 570 had 3GB of Vram, I would still be running games smoothly (while looking nice aswell).

It needs to be compatible with the MSI MPower Z77 motherboard.

I don't want a card that bumps up performance a little bit. If I want to upgrade, it must be a substantial boost in order to last me years to come.

If you haven't ran into any problems yet I would wait till you really need to make the move. New cards are coming out soon from Nvidia and AMDs prices have been dropping slowly, so I would wait at least a couple months to see what happens to the market, and to see what the new cards bring to the table. Who knows, there may be a card that is cheaper and more powerful that drives prices down again. Then you may get a real bargin. ;)

New high end GTX 800 series slated for the end of the year or soon next year, wait a few months.
