Hello there.
I installed Battlefield 2 and started playing it few days ago. The game runs perfectly and smoothly on my PC. Then i installed a mod called "Special Ops Warfare", but when a map is loading, the game shuts down without a warning or a message.
My PC's specs are:
Windows 7, 2GB RAM, Intel 4 Series Chipset Family, Intel Core 2 Duo T6570 with two cores at 2.10GHz.
I play Battlefield 2 on High settings with good FPS and few drops.
Any help would be very appreciated.
Thank you!

Well, after i placed that fix in the mod directory, it didn't change a thing.
P.S: My Battlefield 2 version is 1.02, i didn't download patch 1.50 yet if it's required.

I did that with no result, and i even installed the latest mod patch. And my 1.5 game patch keeps saying that BF2 is already updated to the latest version, while it's only still at 1.0.2. I will make a video to show you what happens when i load a map in the mod.

SOLVED.
The only thing causing the game to crash\quit was that patch 1.5 wasn't installed. If anyone is having a similar problem, and wants to identify it, then you'll have to see if your first problem with the mod was that the mouse cursor isn't appearing, if it wasn't, then you either have my exact problem or your "menu" folder in the mod directory is deleted.
Now you'll be wondering how i managed to select my account and navigate in the menu to select a map, i did that by simply moving the "menu" folder located in "bf2" in the mods directory of your game to "SOW2". Now if you fix the mouse cursor, you may face the second problem, which is the game crashing or quitting when loading a map, now if this happens without an error then you have the same issue that i had. To fix this annoying problem, you'll have to uninstall Battlefield 2 then install it again (YOU'LL HAVE TO REBOOT AFTER THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE), after that, install your Special Ops Warfare mod, and be sure to patch it and install the texture fix, then the you'll have to install the BF2 1.5 patch. And you're done! :) You can now play SOW2 and any other new mods on Battlefield 2 without any similar crashing issues.
P.S: As far as i know you may crash in SOME maps of the mod, and that is only if you have a low end computer (Even if you're playing at high graphics the texture fix wont help as long as your PC is not a decent gaming machine). And if you have trouble installing the Battlefield 2 1.5 patch, please follow the steps provided in this video: "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aArDXVRHWE". (I do not own the video)
