Hello ladies and gents. I'm new to the forum, and to get straight to the point, my PC has been buzzing lately.. well 'lately' as in the last two years. First it was every couple of months a small buzz. And now it's every time I start playing a modern game with high system requirements.

I think it's coming from the GPU, so I need some help. It's obviously bad, but how bad is it? Does the buzzing harm the PC in any way? And what is the exact cause of it, and can it be fixed.

Here's my specs just for.. well if anyone's wondering.

Nvidia Geforce 9600 GT, 1GB
AMD Athlon 7850 Dual Core 2.8
RAM: 2 GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology M720-US3
Windows 7, 32bit.

Cheers!

I'm at work so can;t watch the clip, but I'm going to assume it's a fan if it's a buzz. I have a very scientific way of finding buzzing. Open the side of the case, press your finger onto the fan on the GPU so it can't spin, turn on the PC. Does the buzzing go away? If yes, bingo, you've found your buzz. If not, try the other fans.

Once you've foiund the buzz, check for cables that are getting clipped by the fan, that's quite common. Does the fan look straight or is it wonky? A fan that's not straight in its mount will buzz.

Warning: don't stick your fingers into the PSU, never, ever try this with the PSU fan. Other than that you can safely stop any of the other fans in your PC for a few seconds without doing any harm.
