Epson workforce vs laser

Hi all,
I am going to buy a new printer and I was suggested to choose the Epson WF-5620DWF as a suitable alternative to a laser color multifunction printer.

I strongly need something that can perfectly work even after 2/3 months turned off. This is why at first I had considered a laser printer. However, this Workforce appears to be much more economical (in maintenance) with comparable features (and of course a better photo quality, as it is an inkjet). Furthermore, I was told that it uses a new technology which should avoid the clogging problem.

But... to your knowledge, is it true?
Is it possible that an inkjet like that stays unused and turned off for 3 months and then instantly works without asking for any cleaning procedure?

Also: as cartridges are supposed to last for over 2000 pages, I am likely to use the same cartridge for over one or two years. Will it dry in the meantime?

Solution
in short, if you want a printer that prints instantly after a long period off, you must go with the laser, but make no mistake, even laser printers go trough a clean cycle. Possibly even more often than an inkjet. Ink will dry, laser powder will not.

Thank you for the reply.
In general, I tend to agree with you and that is the reason becouse I was about to choose a laser printer (even though I did not know that they need clean cycle too).
However, the seller explained that that particular model of workforce uses a new technology (I guess it is something related to Precisioncore, is it possible?) which should prevent cartdriges from drying for 4 years and avoids clogging for even 6 months off.

As I do not have specific knowledge in this field, I am asking for a confirmation: is the seller deceiving me or this particular technology is so innovative?
