Sorry if this is in the wrong category I'm new to the forum.
I want to get a desktop that my little brother can game on. I don't really have the time or knowledge to build one. I have an extra nvidia graphics card from my rig and was thinking that I just get a Dell or something with a good amount of ram and pop it in. What's the best desktop I could get for around $500 that will run most games on maybe medium settings. Can a computer like this run games like Arma 2, counter strike, dayZ on medium settings. And if i were to install a graphics card in a normal desktop would I have to upgrade the power supply? I think the card I have is a Nvidia 550 maybe...something like that, but it ran every game i had on high settings just fine. Thanks guys

Very good i5 CPU for being only a $500 rig.
8GB of RAM
1TB HDD
You're not going to find anything in the $500 range with a dedicated GPU, so just use your GTX 550 ti.

Another option would be to put together a custom part list on a site like www.cyberpowerpc.com and they will assemble/test it and ship it to you.

EDIT: Nvidia recommends a minimum of a 400 watt PSU for the GTX 550 ti. IIRC, Newer Dell PCs use PSUs manufactured by Delta, which are decent quality. You can probably get away with the stock PSU, but I would recommend a higher end 400-500 watt PSU from Antec, Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, EVGA, or Rosewill.
