On my laptop, I can see these options in disk management:

I need to make new mirrored volume for RAID 1 on my desktop, but I don't see them when I click on any of my 4 drives:

Both computers have Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate, disabled unneeded services. (http://www.techrepublic.com/blog/10-things/10-plus-windows-7-services-you-may-not-need/)

I don't have any idea why it doesn't work, except services (I disabled even more on laptop).
Thanks in advance.

Hi

Are you trying to put boot disk C: into raid ?
Then re install windows from scratch or keep two hard drives and put 2 more as 3rd drive

Or two mirrors giving you effectively 2 disks

Are disks for raid empty or with no useful data on them?
(Making a raid tends to erase all data on the drives )

Have you looked at using the bios raid settings to create the mirror?

Hello, I have windows on separate SSD, I just have discovered the software option first, but I'll have to go with bios raid and windows reinstall.

Thanks for your post.
