For a system this old, it's unlikely you're going to find any updated drivers. Your best bet would be to get the latest you can find directly from Compaq (or whoever bought them out) and use their latest. Given that this looks like an old Pentium III 500MHz processor, I'd guess this is a system from the late 1990s to early 2000s? Also, if this is a laptop, it's even more unlikely that updated drivers are unavailable.

If you could give us a model number, we might be able to find something.

I think you're correct to avoid the PAY ME FOR DRIVER because there's about zero-chance those places would maintain video-drivers for this era. Most of those websites didn't exist when these drivers did!

But, yes, if you can give us the Compaq Model Number, maybe someone can find a suitable link or provide a good alternative.

I also have an old Compaq but mines is newer than yours. Mines is an EVO D51S and runs Windows XP and Pentium 4. It looks like you're getting yourself in a sticky situation. Just go onto the Compaq website and look for drivers there. If you don't find any drivers for it then I would suggest getting a newer PC that runs Windows 7. When did U even get this desktop anyways? When you.got it was it running either Windows 98, Windows 2000 or Windows Me? If so then U won't find anything good and you will live through this trouble for the rest of your life. I got my Windows XP Home Edition at around 2003 or 2004 or maybe 2005 and I went online and was able to find drivers for it on the Compaq website.
