Hello,

I am planing to get this board
http://www.e-shop.gr/asus-m5a78l-m-lx3-p-PER.522983

Questions.

1.Is this board good for AMD FX 6300?

2.I am also planing to buy 1600mhz 4gb ram,but as i see this board supports 1333.The question is if i see any difference at games with the 1600 mhz than the 1333mhz and if there is a way to make my ram go at 1600mhz as the board says.(1600 (O.C) )

3.This board supports PCI-Express x16.I am planing to buy the xfx-asus-saphire radeon r7 260 or the gtx 750 which they are PCI-Express 3.0.Will i notice a difference between the 3.0 and the simple x16?Are they even compatible or should i look for a PCI-Express x16 graphics card.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: This is a very tight budget gaming pc,if there is a better board in the same price range (45-50$) feel free to suggest me.
You can use this web site where i am getting all my parts for my build. http://www.e-shop.gr/motherboards

EDIT 2: NO OVERCLOCKING!!!!!

Solution
The board you have picked out would be fine for what you intend to do with it. Since you won't be overclocking or using a high end GPU you will do fine with this entry level ASUS board. ASUS makes quality motherboards and although this isn't one of their high end boards they do sell a lot of these and have relatively few troubles with them. I've build about five systems using this board for customers that just wanted something cheap but reliable and I've not had any complaints on those systems after many months.

when you say it will perform better you mean that i might get lower fps in a game that i would got with a 970 chipset board? Also for the ram will it make difference? Also if i buy a 970 chipset board i will have to change the case also bcs i have selected a micro atx case, and there is no mATX board for the 970chipset.

well as i said it will run the cpu and since you are on a budget and also limited by your case, i cant see any alternative!

you will also need bios version 0702

So when i build my pc,will i be able to boot the pc normally and then get to the website so i can dowload the new bios version? Also,do i have to configurate anything on the board's BIOS before installing windows?

ASUS says it si AM3+ CPU Support Ready so you will be able to boot however for max support you should flash bios to the latest.!

you will hardly notice any difference when gaming supposedly both ram would have the same cl timmings! even 1866mhz ram would still be marginally better!

darkbreeze and chris987 thanks alot for your replies,i apreciate you time spent answering my questions.

Final build

AMD Fx 6300

AMD Radeon r7 260x 2gb or the gtx 750 or gtx 650 (i dont know pretty much what to pick since they all seem good for the price)

ASUS VENTO TA-822 Case

4GB 1333Mhz ram (probably muskin or g.skill)

Asus M5A78L-MLX3 Motherboard

Corsair CX430 builder series.

WD Scorpio black 500gb.

All these aproximately 400$.

That's actually not a bad little setup for only 400 bones. Make sure the CPU comes with the fan and heatsink. Some are white box items and only come with the processor, no heatsink or fan. Just make sure otherwise you'll need to spend another 20-30 bucks on a cpu cooler.
