Decent wireless keyboard with a couple bells & whistles?

Hi all,

I've been using a bare-bones Kensington wired keyboard for years now, but it's starting to act a little squirrely at times due to age/spills/etc. I'd like to upgrade to a solid wireless keyboard - don't need anything super fancy although the customizable function/macro keys some of them have does sound appealing.

This will mainly be used for business & writing, my gaming is limited to strategy stuff that isn't too taxing on keyboards.

Checked around on NewEgg and was surprised at how difficult it was to find a good midrange wireless keyboard - all seem to be either dubious entry-level or expensive models aimed at gamers. I wound up ordering this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823126195

Highly disappointing, I'm having a hard time jiving my experience with all those positive reviews. The build quality is mediocre, it's ugly & clunky, keys have a soft "spongy" action, the letters and numbers are actually decals glued onto the keys. The ergonomics seem to be a "Well, let's make a curvy keyboard and call it good" type thing, it's awkward to type at and the keys are too high-profile against the angle of the curves.

So rather than wasting my time trying out another one blind after I return this thing, thought I'd ask for recommendations on here.

My main criteria:
-wireless
-nice feel for typing especially (I write a lot for work and hobby)
-good build quality
-customizable function keys, to automate simple desktop tasks like opening sets of programs/windows or saving files in certain locations, etc, would be a nice bonus.

Used any models lately that fit the above? Thanks in advance.
