Hello Community!

I recently purchased a new receiver (Harman Kardon AVR 700).

I'm having trouble with connecting it to my speakers (iLive HT050B 5.1 Channel Home Theater Speaker System)

The sub woofer itself has a volume control and a bass control (so i'm thinking it has an amplifier in itself already). The whole set connects from the sub woofer to any output using a red and white RCA cable. Now I'm thinking that if I stripped my satellite speaker cables and directly connecting it into the receiver.(Q1 Will that work?) Secondly, I'd like some clarification on how to fix my sub woofer issue which is (Q2 how can I connect it to my receiver if it only has one sub woofer jack.)

I apologize for my lack of knowledge and have been searching around for answers. Let me know if there needs to be more clarification.

Thanks community!

You can connect the satellite speakers to your receiver directly. Just connect the sub out to one of the inputs on the sub. Doesn't matter which one.
