I don't know what happened but I restarted my computer today and it wont load windows 8.1. I turn on the computer, computer brand logo flashes, the windows 8.1 logo pops up and loads for about 5 seconds, then the computer screen goes black and the monitor says its sleeping. All the cords are plugged in correctly. I then held the power button for 5 seconds to force shut it off and unplugged the power cord and waited 5 minutes and turned it back on to no avail.

The computer boots into safe mode fine and is usable from there. Also I think there was a system update the day this happened but I don't think that has to do with anything. I did a system restore in safe mode to a week back and it was restoring, left the room, came back and computer was off. Turned the computer back on and it did the same thing except said "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you.". When the screens black the fans are still running. In safe mode I went into control panel, power management, and turned all the sleep mode options off.

So with this, I don't really know what could be the culprit here. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the windows boot and has nothing to do with my hardware. if anyone knows a solution/the problem please post below. Thanks so much !
