One core out of six is running at a higher temperature. Is this normal?

Hi, I just got my new build up and running and noticed that one of the cores on my cpu is running at a higher temperature than the other six when idle or under load. I monitor the temperatures with HWMonitor. My CPU is an i7 4930K 6 core, the cooler is a Corsair h100i and my motherboard is an Asus P9X79 LE.

Here are the screenshots. The first is when running idle, the second when I was rendering 1080p footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. Any ideas?

I asked on reddit.com and was told this is normal but just want to make sure. Also, what is the ideal cpu running temperature in idle and under load? My GPU seems ok. In the second screen shot it got up to around 47C when rendering the footage.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: just installed the ASUS AI Suite for the motherboard from ASUS and its monitor reads 32C for the CPU as a whole. I'm confused! https://imgur.com/wQ55hCq

Is a little higher then the others, but there is usually one or two like that.

You can try re-seating the heatsink as occasionally this is caused by an uneven distribution of thermal compound. And occasionally a slightly warped cooler or CPU heatspreader.

Hi, so to do this I need to remove the cooler, wipe off the paste with rubbing alcohol and set it back in? Do I need to open up the cpu holding brackets to see if it is placed correctly too?

Thanks.
