Hi fellow nerds,

I am looking to buy a monitor. I am casual gamer (mostly playing dota2 and cs global offensive).
I am also a software engineer, so I program as well. Here is my form filled in.

1. What Is Your Country Of Origin?
UK

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.)
Play video games(dota2,cs:go), program, watching movies.

3. What resolution and screen size do you want?
I am not quite sure. I think 16:10 would be better for programming, but then I'll get black bars when playing games and watching movies. I think 16:9 will do, as long as I can rotate it easily. Looking through huge classes is easier with taller screen.
Edit : sorry I forgot to say, I'd like the monitor to be 24 inches, with resolution of 1920 x 1080 or 1920 x 1200 if 16:10.

4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.)
I think 60hz is enough for now, but there is the possibility that I purchase hardcore gaming in the near future, so it would be good if I could use the same monitor. So I would be ok spending a bit more for 120hz or even more.

5. How much are you looking to spend?
no more than 200 pounds

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. )
No preference on brands.

7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why)
No preference on brands

8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor?
No, I am not.

9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable?
I am going to be using the monitor connected to a laptop. My GPU is Nvidia GT540M. I am always updating my video drivers.

10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc).
My laptop has two output slots - VGA and HDMI, so I guess HDMI.

11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display?
Primary.

12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop?
Yes. I am not going to use the main laptop monitor.
